Downtown Oakland Specific Plan (DOSP)

The DOSP has undergone extensive public feedback and is now ready for consideration and approval by the Oakland City Council. See the Plan Publications section to review the Final Draft DOSP, DOSP Handbook (a summary version of the DOSP, available in Spanish and Chinese), Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and other past publications. The associated zoning amendments and environmental review documents can be reviewed at the links below:

The following in-person public hearings are scheduled for the DOSP (visit the Meetings section for more information):

• The Oakland Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to present the Final Draft Plan on Wednesday, May 15th at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland City Hall.
• The Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board (LPAB) continue its public hearing to review the Final Draft DOSP and Zoning Amendments on Monday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at Oakland City Hall
• The Oakland Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to present the Final Draft Zoning Amendments and Final EIR/Response to Comments on Wednesday, June 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland City Hall
