The Downtown Oakland Specific Plan's draft zoning amendments were released in late April 2022 for public review. The City will hold three informational meetings on key aspects of the amendments. This second meeting will focus on special districts.

Topics will include:

• How will new development be safe from sea level rise?
• How will it contribute to walkable streetscapes at a new Green Loop?
• How will the Plan support arts and cultural districts like the Black Arts Movement and Business District (BAMBD)?
