Bhutanese & Nepali residents of Oakland and its neighboring cities will be participating in this Annual Cultural Event. The event is to celebrate Tihar festival (Festival of Lights). Tihar is one of the most anticipated festivals of the year and is celebrated in the months of September - October. The Event will be full of Bhutanese & Nepali cultural dance, music, and food.

Deeply Rooted Oakland will set up a booth on the 13th Bhutanese & Nepali Cultural event to connect with people about the General Plan 2045 and collect surveys to hear what community members have experienced with housing and environmental justice. The surveys will be conducted from 6pm to 8:30pm.
