Living Rooms are weekly pop-up hubs held at public parks and plazas for Oakland's unhoused residents to access rest, respite, recreation and resources. Unhoused residents can enjoy hot meals and clean drinking water, engage in recreational and educational activities, and be linked to legal, mental health, educational and medical resources. Deeply Rooted Oakland will set up a booth at the Living Rooms to inform our people about the General Plan 2045 and collect surveys to hear what community members have experienced with housing and environmental justice.
Time: 1pm-7pm
Locations: 1) Grove Shafter Park (Marcus Garvey Park), Martin Luther King Jr Way & 36th Street, Oakland, CA 94609 and 2) Alameda County Social Services Plaza, 2000 San Pablo Ave, Oakland, CA 94612
