This meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC) was held on May 8, 2019 at 4:30pm

On May 8, 2019, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC) heard and voted on eight (8) recommendations for approval including: A Sista’s Touch Walk/Run charity event at the Lakeside Park (Pergola) on Saturday, June 1, 2019; Two (2) park bench dedications in memory of Mr. C.F. Tung; One (1) park bench dedication in memory of Victor McElhaney; A gift-in-place from Project Backboard for the FM Smith Recreation Center Basketball Court Project; The proposed Adaptive Bike Share Pilot Program for location at Snow Park, Lakeside Park, and the Bay Trail. The Friends of the Oakland Municipal Band – FOMB event at the Edoff Memorial Bandstand in Lakeside Park on July 4, 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 2019; The Jamaican American Association of Northern California - JAANC Annual Jamaican American Independence Picnic Celebration at Joaquin Miller Park in The Baywood, Pinewood picnic areas on July 4, 2019; and the Afrocentric Oakland 7th Annual Pan African Family Reunion at Mosswood Park on September 1, 2019.
