The Draft Downtown Oakland Specific Plan (DOSP) and Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) are available as of August 30, 2019. The public review period for the Draft Plan and EIR was extended until November 8. Comments on the zoning and zoning incentive program that will implement the DOSP are welcome as we continue to work on that project, which is undergoing its own process separate from but parallel to the plan itself. Please submit any additional comments on zoning to plandowntownoakland@oaklandca.gov.
The development of zoning and General Plan amendments will continue along with the Zoning Incentive Program Feasibility Study until the end of 2019, and the community is invited to submit comments on these topics throughout this public process. A series of public meetings and events are planned to discuss the Draft DOSP and Draft EIR (see table below).
