The Equity Working Group (EWG) will be convened by Deeply Rooted, our Community Consultant for the General Plan Update. The EWG will be a two year-long process, where community residents will help inform policy priorities for the General Plan Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Oakland General Plan Update
The General Plan Update is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Oaklanders to work together on creating an equitable blueprint for the future of the City. A key component of the General Plan Update’s overall Public Engagement Program will be to provide targeted engagement to geographies and communities that experience socio-economic, environmental, and racial disparities to ensure that their voices, which have often been under-represented in planning and policy-making processes, are included and engaged.
