ANOTHER ILLEGAL CASINO BUSTED BY OPD
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating an illegal casino operation in the 2300 block of East 16th Street. On January 12, 2022, Community Resource Officers (CRO) executed a search warrant at the illegal establishment. Officers recovered 10 firearms, including four assault rifles with extended magazines, five and a half pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine worth a street value of $70,000, and 15 and a half pounds of marijuana. Officers also seized more than $7,000 in cash, as well as 12 illegal casino gaming machines.
Two individuals were arrested and transported to Santa Rita Jail for outstanding warrants. This is part of an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this case can contact (510) 238-3728.
