Commission on Homelessness Budget Recommendations Survey

The City of Oakland’s Commission on Homelessness (COH) needs to hear from you regarding the City of Oakland’s Fiscal Year 2023-25 Bi-ennial Budget.

As you may be aware, the City of Oakland is facing a historic budget deficit. According to the 2022 Point In Time count, the individuals experiencing homelessness in our City has continued to increase causing encampments to grow. To address this growing issue, the Commission on Homelessness (COH) has proposed a number of budget recommendations and is opening a 12-day Public Comment Period beginning May 19th to May 31st at 5:00PM to collect your feedback on these recommendations.

Your input is critical in helping the commission provide feedback to the Mayor and City Council on City priorities for homelessness services, encampment response, and housing

This comment period is open to all residents (housed and unhoused), businesses, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and service providers in the City of Oakland. It is very important all voices are heard.

Please share this with your community and colleagues in Oakland and join us at the next commission meeting June 7, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in Hearing Room 1 at Oakland City Hall. Thank you for your contributions to this survey and we look forward to hearing from you.
