On January 21, 2021, at approximately 6:13 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 10700 block of Apricot Street to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult (non-Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).
Arriving officers attempted life-saving measures. Oakland Fire Department personnel and Falck ambulance crew were additionally on the scene and provided medical treatment. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent homicide.
