On August 14th, 2020 at about 3:29 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 10900 block of Beverly Avenue on a report of gunshots. Upon arrival officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wound(s). The male victim was treated by medical personnel at the scene and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment where he was listed in critical condition. On August 15, 2020, the victim was pronounced deceased.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
