On January 18, 2021, at about 6:37 AM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of 88th Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim (Oakland resident) with gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to the victim until medical arrived on the scene. Oakland Fire Department personnel and Falck ambulance crew additionally provided medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent homicide.
