On September 16, 2020, at approximately 9:07 PM, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Solano Way to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers were directed to a female juvenile (Pittsburg resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. A male juvenile (Fresno resident) was arrested in connection to the homicide. Medical services arrived on the scene and pronounced the female victim deceased on the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
