On August 6th, 2020, at approximately 9:59 PM, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Fairfax Ave. to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located four-male adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medical services arrived on scene and attempted lifesaving measures on one of the victims but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Three other victims were transported to an area hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
A homicide callout was initiated. Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent stabbing.
