On January 16, 2021, Oakland police officers responded to the 8300 block of A Street on a report of a shooting. A female adult Oakland resident sustained gunshot wound(s) and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
On January 19, 2021, the victim, a grandmother, succumbed to her injuries Oakland Police Homicide Investigators began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent homicide.
