The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on September 29, 2021, just before 7:30 PM, in the 8300 block of International Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located a male adult, Oakland resident, suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers attempted lifesaving measures until medical assistance arrived on the scene.
Oakland Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and provided additional medical treatment. Unfortunately, the victim died on the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. His identity is being withheld pending notification to the next-of-kin.
