On August 9th, 2020, at approximately 12:19 AM, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 8600 block of Holly St. to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located two male adults. One male adult was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The second male adult was suffering from minor injuries. Medical services arrived and pronounced the first male adult deceased on scene. The second male adult was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. This is an ongoing investigation anyone who has information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Homicide Section at (510) 238-3821.
