On September 14th, 2020, at approx. 09:52 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 2000 96th Ave. Officers arrived on the scene and located one male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
