On September 18, 2020, at approximately 10:53 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 34th Street and Telegraph Ave to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male Oakland resident suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Oakland Fire Department responded to the scene and the victim was pronounced deceased.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
