Join me 8/17 for OAKLAND's COVID- 19 LGBTQ Roundtable

Hi Neighbor,

On August 17, 2021, I will be Co-Hosting Oakland’s LGBTQ Round Table along with Anjali Rimi, President and Co-Founder of Parivar, and Socorro “Cori” Moreland, Director of Programs at APEB. I invite you to join this webinar round table discussion on COVID-19: its impacts on our community and how as a collective we have and can support. Throughout this pandemic I have championed several efforts to support our Oakland community. I successfully allocated funding for local grassroots organizations, including $50,000 for a vaccine equity and awareness program focused on Queer Trans People of Color. I also called on the State of California to provide vaccines at the Oakland Coliseum and at community-based sites with mobile vaccinations, which they did. I look forward to hearing the incredible work being done and how we can further our COVID-19 relief efforts.
