OPD NEWS:
More than 1,400 attend OPD’s Annual Trunk or Treat Event
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) hosted its fifth annual OPD Trunk or Treat event, demonstrating our commitment to our community through “OPD Acts of Kindness.”
This year’s Trunk or Treat, held on October 31st at Verdese Carter Park in East Oakland, was our most successful yet, with more than 1,400 children and families in attendance. This vibrant and festive occasion provided an opportunity for Oakland families to engage with members of the Oakland Police Department and local community organizations.
The event’s success was further amplified by the generous contributions of more than 30 community partners, who played a crucial role in setting up imaginative displays and handing out candy to eager trick-or-treaters.
OPD expresses our heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors whose generous contributions made this event possible. Their continued support is invaluable.
OPD remains dedicated to supporting and uplifting Oakland through community engagement and events like Trunk or Treat. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
