One Arrested, Two Firearms Recovered in East Oakland Shooting

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that took place just after 3:45 a.m. on January 17, 2025, in the 10600 block of International Boulevard. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and arrived to find a victim who had been shot at.

OPD News:

One Arrested, Two Firearms Recovered in East Oakland Shooting

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that took place just after 3:45 a.m. on January 17, 2025, in the 10600 block of International Boulevard. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and arrived to find a victim who had been shot at.

Officers determined that the victim was standing outside a residence in the area when an argument occurred between the victim and an individual inside the residence. The dispute escalated when the individual retrieved a firearm and shot at the victim. The suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody safely in connection with the shooting.

A search warrant for the residence was executed, and officers located a rifle and handgun, along with ammunition.
