Applications open now with support available for high priority communities

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on August 16, 2021, around 2:0 AM, in the area of Edgewater Drive and Hegenberger Road. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of an injury collision.

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2021, just after 4:15 AM, in the 350 block of West MacArthur Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a shooting.

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) investigated seven shootings including, two that were fatal. Officers also investigated more than a dozen robberies citywide.

As new reports come out further detailing the devastating impacts of climate change, it is vitally important to take action to build a healthier sustainable future. This includes making it easier and safer for our communities to walk, bicycle, and use public transit. In coordination with these efforts we must prioritize the reduction of deadly emissions by utilizing zero emission trucks in our community.
