On February 15th, 2021, at approx. 6:04 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 600 block of 10^th Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male Oakland resident suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries.

On February 14^th, 2021, at about 7 PM, the Oakland Police Department received a report of a deceased male inside a tent at Mosswood Park. Oakland PD Officers located the male and found him deceased with traumatic injuries.

On February 9, 2021, at about 10:07 a.m., Oakland Police Officers responded to the area of 47^th Avenue and E. 12^th Street after 911 callers reported armed individuals entering a commercial building.

On February 8, 2021, Mayor Libby Schaaf and Oakland Police Chair Regina Jackson swore-in LeRonne Armstrong as Chief of the Oakland Police Department. Chief Armstrong was born and raised in West Oakland, California, and is a graduate of McClymonds High School.
