On January 20, 20201, at approximately 7:35 AM, the Oakland Police Department’s Communications Division was advised of a shooting victim in the area of 85th Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

On January 16, 2021, at approximately 10:50 PM, Oakland police officers responded to the 8300 block of A Street on a report of a shooting. A female adult Oakland resident sustained gunshot wound(s) and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

OPD Press release

On Sunday, January 17, 2021, the Oakland Police Department addressed numerous sideshows throughout the city, which involved multiple shooting scenes, including one gunshot victim, and hundreds of participants. The criminal activity spanned the entire day and required multiple patrol officers to respond out of their districts, impacting our ability to respond to service.

On, January 18, 2021, at about 2:11 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 10300 block of MacArthur Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located one male adult (non-Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

On January 18, 2021, at about 6:37 AM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of 88th Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim (Oakland resident) with gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to the victim until medical arrived on the scene.

On January 15, 2021, at approximately 11:40 AM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 2500 blk of 98th Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting. Officers also contacted a male adult at the Eastmont Substation suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

On January 20, 20201, at approximately 4:06 PM, a ShotSpotter was activated in the 350 block of Grand Avenue. Shortly after, the Oakland Police Department Communications Division received calls of a shooting in the area.
