City Councilmember Dan Kalb and Mayor Libby Schaaf Introduce Legislation to Improve Public Health, Enhance Safety and Reduce Carbon Emissions by Requiring New Construction to Be All-Electric

On Monday, November 30, 2020, Oakland Police Officers arrested two men in connection to three separate armed robberies. The crime spree occurred in less than an hour.

On November 28, 2020, at approximately 11:50 PM, the Communications Division received reports of a shooting in the 8700 block of Hillside Street.

Residents and businesses can help minimize flooding in their neighborhood by volunteering with the City’s Adopt-A-Drain program to keep a storm drain near their home or business free of debris. About 1,100 storm drains are currently adopted by Oaklanders, but many thousands more are waiting to be adopted. By signing up, you will receive storm notification emails before large storm events, and the City can provide rakes, brooms, dust pans, bags and other supplies. On November 18, 2020, at approximately 8:38 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 5700 block of Trask Street regarding a Shot Spotter activation followed by reports of a person shot.
