On Thursday May 9, 2019, from 7am to 9:30am, Walk Oakland Bike Oakland (WOBO) produces the largest Bike To Work Day celebration of the No Pollute Commute at Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of Oakland City Hall. Councilmember Dan Kalb will present a resolution celebrating the City of Oakland’s Gold Level Bicycle-Friendly Community designation and Bike To Work Day. Thursday marks the City of Oakland’s 26th celebration of Bike To Work Day, held on the 2nd Thursday of May each year.

For 2019, the City of Oakland is taking the Small Business Week workshops into the commercial districts that small businesses call home by working with its nonprofit business service provider partners. Entrepreneurs and small business owners may choose from networking events, informative workshops and insightful panels in Downtown, East Oakland, Fruitvale and West Oakland during Oakland Small Business Week, May 5 to 11. Topics will include social media, tech tools, access to capital, cyber security, business models, women mentoring women, business operations and more.
