On October 16, 2019, the Oakland City Council approved about $1,221,044 in fiscal year 2019-20 grants to Oakland-based nonprofit organizations and individual artists through the City’s Cultural Funding Program. The 91 arts grants range from $4,999 to $33,000 and have been awarded to 83 different recipients.

The City of Oakland is leading public engagement and outreach to ensure Oakland community members have an accurate understanding of the Oakland A's Howard Terminal project proposal.

Community members are strongly encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting to learn about the Oakland A's Howard Terminal Project and upcoming public engagement events. Meetings are open to all members of the public.

Remarks and presentations will be made by staff members from the City of Oakland, the Oakland A's, and the Port of Oakland, and the meetings will be facilitated by an independent consultant.

Refreshments will be provided at all meetings.

Hw13 2

The City of Oakland is performing work to rehabilitate utilities in an easement running parallel with Highway 13.

Work is adjacent to the Highway 13 northbound lane between located between the I-580 Freeway and the Carson Street exit. Access to the easement will require heavy equipment to access the easement via Highway 13. Construction may directly affect the lane of travel closest to the shoulder (right-hand northbound lane) between the hours of 9am - 3pm, Monday through Friday, between October 21, 2019 and late December 2019.
