The Planning & Building Department is making changes to the Building Inspection scheduling procedures effective January 1, 2019.

As part of the first steps in implementing the new Cultural Plan, the City of Oakland announced two new pilot Cultural Funding initiatives today that will advance cultural equity, belonging and well-being for all the communities of Oakland. The United States District Court Judge Haywood Gilliam, Jr. lifted a temporary restraining order and denied an injunction intended to stop the City of Oakland from closing a homeless encampment on public property in East Oakland on Constitutional grounds.
