The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from our community and the media in locating missing person Mr. Michael Robertson.

The Oakland Police Department has seen carjackings more than double this year. As of Sunday, there were 200 carjackings in Oakland, compared to only 93 at the same time last year. Add to that, more than a half dozen carjacking robberies throughout Oakland since Monday.

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on May 26^th, 2021, just after 12:00 PM, in the 3200 block of 35th Avenue. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located a male adult victim, an Oakland resident, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

The Oakland Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on May 25^th, 2021, just after 7:30 PM, in the area of 87^th Avenue and E Street. Officers were driving in the area when they heard multiple gunshots. Once on scene, officers located a male juvenile victim, a Stockton resident, seated in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Oakland Police Department received information of a large cache of illegal fireworks. OPD’s Community Resource Officers in Areas 4 and 5, began a follow-up investigation working collaboratively with the East Palo Alto Police Department, and the Menlo Park Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located a male adult victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

After more than two decades at the Oakland Police Department (OPD), Deputy Chief Nishant Joshi is saying goodbye to OPD. However, he’s not going very far. On Monday, DC Joshi was announced as the next Police Chief for the City of Alameda.

On May 16^th, 2021, just before 6:00 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 2100 block of E. 26th Street for a male down on the ground. Officers arrived on the scene and located a male 17-year-old juvenile suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers attempted lifesaving measures.

The City of Oakland experienced two separate illegal Sideshows over the weekend. Starting on Saturday night, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) saw close to 200 vehicles traveling in and out of Oakland and nearby cities for six hours.
