The violence started early Friday morning just before 12:45 AM. Officers responded to the 2300 block of 55^th Avenue to investigate the report of a male on the ground. Once on scene officers located an unresponsive male suffering from gunshot wound(s). Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

On April 26, 2021, around 10:12 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Lakeshore Avenue to investigate a report of an armed carjacking.

On April 20, 2021, at approximately 8:36 pm, Oakland Police Department (OPD) officers responded to the area of 54^th Avenue and East 8^th Street to investigate the reports of a man armed with a rifle. Once on scene, officers contacted victims, who advised that the suspect was pointing the firearm in their direction and threatening to kill them. The victims stated they heard gunfire as they left the area.

The Oakland Police Department wants to make our community aware of reported incidents where individual(s) attempted to enter into people’s homes through open or unlocked windows and balcony doors. Investigators are working on confirming if these incidents are connected.

On April 10, 2021, around 8:52 PM, Oakland Police Department (OPD) Patrol Officers responded to the 1900 block of 90^th Avenue for a report of a shooting. OPD Patrol officers located a male victim (Oakland resident) with gunshot wounds.

On April 10^th, 2021, around 6:37 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting in the area of 68^th Avenue and International Boulevard. Officers arrived on the scene and located a male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

On April 10, 2021, at approximately 4:18 AM, Oakland Police Department (OPD) Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 5700 block of Harmon Avenue and located an adult male (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).
