On March 31, 2021, around 12:04 AM, the Oakland Police Department Patrol Division responded to the 650 block of 53^rd Street to investigate a ShotSpotter Activation.

On March 30, 2021, the Antioch Police Department requested assistance from the Oakland Police Department in apprehending two suspects who were wanted for murder in Antioch. Both suspects are believed to be connected to numerous shootings in Oakland.

On March 28, 2021, there was illegal sideshow activity in the City of Oakland. The Oakland Police Department allocated dedicated resources to focus on deterring, enforcing and responding to illegal sideshow activity with permission from the City Administrator.

At its height, 200-300 vehicles drove throughout East Oakland looking for an intersection to take over. The group was unsuccessful as officers on the ground, in OPD’s Police Helicopter (ARGUS), and outside law enforcement agencies prevented this from happening.

The Oakland Police Department requests assistance from the media and the community in identifying the below vehicle. Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest in connection with a homicide that occurred on August 14, 2020, at about 3:29 PM, in the 10900 block of Beverly Avenue.

On March 24, 2021, 2:25 AM, Oakland Police Department (OPD) Patrol Officers responded to 2200 E.12th Street for a report of a shooting. OPD Patrol officers located a male victim (non-Oakland resident) with multiple gunshot wounds.

On March 21, 2021, at approximately 6:33 PM, the Communications Division received reports of a possible shooting and vehicle accident that occurred in the 7500 block of Holly Street. Officers responded to the scene and located an adult male victim, 28 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound.

On March 19, 2021, at approximately 6:54 PM, Oakland Police Department officers responded to 10600 MacArthur Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting.

On March 18^th, 2021, at approximately 9:51 pm, officers observed a reported carjacking vehicle in the 5800 block of Foothill Boulevard. The vehicle is believed to be connected to multiple armed robberies throughout the City of Oakland from earlier in the day.

Today, Captain Angelica Mendoza was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police and will be assigned to the newly formed Bureau of Risk Management
