On March 16, 2021, around 7:34 AM, Oakland Police Department officers responded to E 28th Avenue and 9th Avenue to investigate a report of a person down on the street. Officers located a male adult suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

The Oakland Police Department arrested Teaunte Bailey for his involvement in a robbery and assault of a 75-year-old Oakland resident. Today, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office filed multiple felony charges against Bailey including murder.

Oakland Police Investigators announce an arrest in connection with an early morning robbery. Just before 7:00 am, a 75-year-old Oakland resident was assaulted and robbed in the area of Jayne Avenue and Perkins Street.
