Oakland, CA – The Oakland Police Department shares our community’s concerns regarding reckless and dangerous behavior taking place in the Oakland Hills, Grizzly Peak area when it comes to careless individuals lighting fireworks and bonfires

On September 14th, 2020, at approx. 09:52 PM, Oakland Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 2000 96^th Ave.

The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standard for 911 call processing is as follows:

90% of all 9-1-1 calls arriving at the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) shall be answered within 15 seconds or less.

On September 11^th, 2020, at approximately 11:44 PM, Oakland Police Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of 35^th Avenue to investigate the report of a disturbance.

September 9, 2020, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Marius Robinson, 47 of Oakland, in connection with the homicide of Robert Coleman, 43, of Oakland.

On September 6, 2020, at approximately 0348 hours, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Broadway to investigate the report of a male on the ground bleeding.

On July 26, 2020, at approximately 5:30 pm, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of 98th Avenue to investigate the report of a male on the ground bleeding.

On September 15th and16th, the Oakland Police Department will be conducting a DUI Checkpoint from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location.

Oakland, CA – September is Pedestrian Safety Month and the Oakland Police Department will join law enforcement agencies across the state to educate the public on how to be safe when walking or driving.

On September 2, 2020, at about 1:30 PM, officers responded to the 9300 block of Empire Road on a report of a shooting.
