2500 26th Ave Recovery

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a report of a stolen vehicle. On November 3, 2022, just before midnight, Oakland Police Department (OPD) officers were in the 2500 block of 26th Avenue when they observed a reported stolen vehicle in the middle of the roadway.

At a news conference this afternoon, Oakland Police Chief LeRonne L. Armstrong announced the arrests of 73-year-old Nelson Chia of Oakland and 33-year-old Hasheem Bason of Stockton for the fatal shooting of 60-year-old Lili XU of Oakland.

Oakland’s ordinance requiring anyone attending large indoor events (2,500+ attendees) to wear a mask will expire on November 1, 2022. Patrons entering City facilities, including libraries, City senior centers, senior adult care facilities, recreation centers, and civic center buildings, are still required to wear a mask.
