The City of Oakland Human Services Department announced the beginning of the Summer Food Service Program to provide free breakfast and lunch during the school break.

The City of Oakland's Head Start centers and home-based program will remain closed through the end of the school year in June. This decision was made in line with the coordinated efforts of public health officials to slow the spread of COVID-19.

All City of Oakland Head Start sites and home based services will remain closed through Sunday, May 3rd. Alameda County – Oakland Community Action Partnership’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) free tax prep assistance site located at Oakland's Business Assistance Center, 270 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, will be open July 1-31, 2020 by appointment only.
