City of Oakland Early Head Start Center San Antonio Park is temporarily closed effective today, January 25, 2022 through February 3, 2022 due to a COVID-19 exposure. The site will re-open on February 4, 2022.

City of Oakland Head Start Center Manzanita is temporarily closed effective today, January 24, 2022 through February 3, 2022 due to a COVID-19 exposure. The site will re-open on February 4, 2022.

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating illegal Sideshow activity that occurred throughout the City of Oakland, on January 23, 2022. Around 5:30 PM, approximately 200 vehicles and several hundred spectators, participated in reckless driving and behavior citywide. With multiple priority calls standing, our officers were able to make two arrests, tow four vehicles with a 30-day hold, and recover three firearms.

The Oakland Police Department’s dedicated officers seize multiple firearms and a large sum of narcotics, within 30 minutes.
