The Oakland Police Department is Requesting Community Assistance with a Homicide

Oakland, CA The Oakland Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in the homicide investigation of Jeffery Chambers. He was fatally stabbed on July 17, 2020, in the 800 block of Peralta Street. Chambers, an unsheltered Oakland resident was also known by the nickname “Lil Jeff”.

The Oakland Police Department is Requesting Community Assistance with a Homicide Case

Oakland, CA The Oakland Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in the homicide investigation of Jeffery Chambers. He was fatally stabbed on July 17, 2020, in the 800 block of Peralta Street. Chambers, an unsheltered Oakland resident was also known by the nickname “Lil Jeff”.

BACKGROUND: July 17, 2020, at approximately 6:55 AM officers responded to the 1500 block of 9th Street, on a report of a male down on the sidewalk bleeding. Officers responded to the scene and located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This investigation is on-going and anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department’s Homicide Section at 510-238-3821.

The Oakland Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
