Trunk or Treat collage

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) hosted our sixth annual OPD Trunk or Treat event as part of our commitment to our community through “OPD Acts of Kindness.” This year’s Trunk or Treat, held on October 31st at Verdese Carter Park in East Oakland, was one of our most successful Trunk or Treats to date, with more than 1,400 children and families joining us for a safe, festive family-friendly Halloween event.

SRS Vice recovery 10 17 24

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating an illegal gambling operation in the 1400 block of 17th Avenue. On October 17, 2024, officers from OPD’s Special Resources Section (SRS) West and VICE Unit served a search warrant at the illegal establishment following multiple resident complaints.
