The City of Oakland welcomes our community to envision a new state-of-the-art Community Resilience and Recreation Center at 250 10th Street. This new recreation center is top priority to replace the existing outdated and aging recreation center.
Mobile Assistance Community Responders of Oakland (MACRO) Program is an alternative response program in the Oakland Fire Department (OFD) for non-emergency, "quality of life" calls for service.
Oakland welcomes our community to envision a new state-of-the art fire station, fire training, education center and community complex located at 905 66th Avenue. The relocation of Fire Station No. 29 to this site is a top priority to replace the aging and outdated station. We invite you to learn more about the relocation and proposed plans to include a future fire training center and a community space to better serve the neighborhood and Oakland at-large. CONSTRUCTION STATUS: The two project traffic signals on Park Blvd were turned on in September 2023. This included one new traffic signal adjacent to Edna Brewer Middle School at 13th Ave and one traffic signal modification at the intersection of Excelsior Ave/Grosvenor Pl/Alma Pl. Landscaping at both intersections is scheduled to be complete in October. OakDOT plans to install plastic delineators, pavement markings, and signs to remove a lane in each direction on Park Blvd approaching the crosswalks at Beaumont Ave to slow traffic and reduce exposure for pedestrians crossing the street. This work is planned for Spring of 2024.
An 11+ mile project including pavement rehabilitation and preventative maintenance on citywide major streets.
