The City of Oakland is in the process of implementing up to 18 speed safety camera systems authorized under the passage Assembly Bill (AB) 645, which was passed in October 2023. Cameras are expected to come online in Fall/Winter 2025.
Improving bicycle and pedestrian safety North of Lake Merritt
This project will install a new server with more computing capability that can run upgraded applications for better traffic signal coordination within the City.
The High Street Project installs pedestrian safety improvements on High Street, a high injury corridor, between San Leandro Street and 580.
