Discipline Matrix Ad Hoc Committee

The Discipline Ad Hoc committee is responsible for reviewing and providing guidance on the Oakland Police Department’s Discipline Matrix to ensure it aligns with the objective of fair and consistent disciplinary practices. The committee works to ensure that the matrix, associated policies, and resulting disciplinary actions reflect contemporary industry standards for progressive discipline. This includes recommending updates, possibly reviewing cases for adherence to these standards, and ensuring transparency and accountability in the disciplinary process.
