The Modifications focus on enhancing workforce opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; Child Support clients; CalFresh Employment and Training recipients; and English Language Learners, Foreign Born and Refugees clients.
The Draft Plan Modifications were informed by insight gained at stakeholder meetings held in November 2018 by OWDB, with the Alameda County Workforce Development Board and EastBay Works Coordinator. At these November meetings, the Alameda County Social Services Agency, Alameda County Department of Child Support Services and the California Department of Rehabilitation each provided an overview of their respective workforce programs that support the target populations.
