- Notifying building owners that the rewiring and the use of electrical extension cords can increase the likelihood of electrical hazards, including fire and electrocution
- Ensure there are no tripping hazards from cords or other equipment in outdoor work areas
- Ensure there are no work stations or waiting areas that may block or impede on the path of ingress or egress to the building or structure
- Have a Fire Extinguisher accessible and ready for use
- Make sure the building’s address location is legible and placed in a position that is visible to patrons and owner in case of emergency
- All FDC and fire hydrants (3 feet clear all around) are clear of obstructions and visible at all times
- Combustible rubbish/waste is stored in proper containers and removed from premises in a proper manner
- The Fire Prevention Bureau will not have to conduct a site inspection UNLESS a tent is used. No work shall be completed under a tent without the Fire Marshal or designee approval
