Community Policing Ad Hoc

The Community Policing Ad Hoc committee is dedicated to developing a new policy directing the Oakland Police Department's role in Community Policing. This project began in earnest in July 2021 in partnership with community leaders, activists, police officers, and city staff. OPD has resubmitted the policy with amendments for review by the Ad Hoc, which reconvened in June 2023.

Community Resource Officers

Community Resource Officers (CRO) engage in problem solving projects, attend Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council (or Neighborhood Council) meetings. They serve as liaisons with city service teams, lead enforcement projects and coordinate with other OPD patrol and professional staff.

Completed Environmental Review (CEQA/EIR) Documents

The following documents pertain to projects with completed case files that have been subject to CEQA or other environmental review.
