This policy outlines data retention practices for the Domain Awareness Center, a joint project that collects and monitors live streams of video, audio, and/or data, watching for time-critical events that require an immediate response.
The Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee is made up of Neighborhood Watch Captains and others who wish to participate in oversight and support of the Neighborhood Watch Program. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings are usually organized around a particular topic of interest.
These Reports reflect the work of the Citizens' Police Review Board (CPRB). In December 2017 the Community Police Review Agency (CPRA) replaced the CPRB as Oakland's civilian investigator of complaints of police misconduct by sworn members of the Oakland Police Department.
The Oakland City Charter requires the Public Ethics Commission to adjust the salary for City Councilmember each year according to the increase in the Consumer Price Index for the preceding year. The Commission may authorize an additional increase beyond the required adjustment, up to a total maximum increase of 5 percent.
