To reduce wildfire threat, the Oakland Fire Department is preparing a Vegetation Management (Plan) and associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for City-managed parcels in the Oakland hills.
The Fire Dispatch Center (FDC) receives around 60,000 emergency calls for service annually. Most of these calls are for medical emrgencies.

The Neighborhood Housing Revitalization Program (NHRP) provides financial assistance to owners of one-to-four unit or single family dwellings that are in need of repair to correct code violations and to eliminate safety and health hazards.
