In collaboration with East Bay Housing Organization's (EBHO) Affordable Housing Month in May 2024, the City of Oakland's Cultural Affairs Division and Housing & Community Development Department hosted a workshop to explore the intersection of art and housing in Oakland. Learn from experts from Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA), East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), and MidPen Housing about successful implementation strategies for incorporating public art into affordable housing projects. Our team works to minimize construction impacts to the traveling public, preserve City assets and utility infrastructure, and ensure contractors working in City right-of-way abide by City codes, plans, and standards.
