Apply to the Mayor's Commission on Aging (MCOA)

The Commission on Aging is chartered for 11 members, nominated by the City Council or the Mayor. The diverse Commission membership represents the variety of communities in the City of Oakland.

Required Steps:

1. Submit resume and letter of interest to Scott Means.
2. Interview with Scott Means.
3. Interview with the Mayor (approximately 15 minute phone call).
4. Applicant’s name is submitted to the City Council for a vote.
