Report a Crime in Person

Some crimes must be reported in person or on the phone.

You must report a crime in person or on the phone if:

  • You know who committed this crime or evidence exists (e.g., video or digital film).
  • The incident was a Hate Crime.
  • Damage/value is over $5,000.
  • The lost/stolen property is a firearm.

  • Get general information
  • Report a stolen vehicle
  • Report a stolen bicycle
  • Make a Citizen Crime Report
  • Or find out where to go

Felony or domestic violence reports should be made by calling 510-777-3333. Please be patient! Sometimes the wait is long, but eventually, you will get the help you need. The Front Desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Get Traffic Accident Reports (Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
  • Pay ABAT alcohol/tobacco license fees (510) 777-8670
  • Make a Citizen Crime Report
  • Tow Hearings (by appointment only) (510) 238-4484
  • Pay for special events permits

Eastmont Front Desk hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7 days a week
